When people mention "Springer", they can refer to two very different publishers: Springer Nature or Axel Springer SE. Don't confuse them! One does not care about ethical standards, is involved in shady campaigns to exert influence, and employs questionable business practices. The other, of course, publishes the "Bild" tabloid.

Another Homebrew Website Club Nuremberg last night — and I'm still delighted that this friendly, diverse group of practitioners meets monthly in my city. Interesting, inspiring, relaxed, and funny, as always.
Thanks to Björn for documenting everything: https://indieweb.org/events/2026-06-10-hwc-nuremberg
And if you're even remotely curious about joining us live in Nuremberg: we're hosting a special edition for the Nürnberg Digital Festival! https://nuernberg.digital/de/events/2026/homebrew-website-club-nuedigital
The Anatomy of a Learning Stall:

Following the @EUCommission Tech Sovereignty and Open Source Strategy (and Mastodon’s direct mention within it!) announced this week…

“We’re accumulating code faster than we’re accumulating trust. This phrase hit me hard today. We thought, narrowly, that code was what we produced. That was only half of it. We also produced, one safe deployment at a time, one needed improvement at a time, we produced trust.”
