Hi, I’m Michael Conrad and I’m in remission from leukemia (APL), but ongoing treatment brings side effects like fatigue and concentration issues. These make it harder to keep working without adaptive tools.

To continue my job, I need a VR headset (https://immersed.com/). My employer can’t cover the $2,000 cost.

Here’s my GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/5c38f7468

Any donation or boost helps me keep working through treatment.

Wisconsin’s Brothertown Indian Nation is fighting for federal acknowledgement

The Wisconsin tribe lost its sovereign status in the 1830s. They’ve spent decades trying to get it back.

Investigation finds at least 973 Native American children died in US government boarding schools

A federal investigation has found that at least 973 Native American children perished in the U.S. government’s abusive boarding school system over a 150-year period. Interior Department officials released the findings Tuesday and called on the government to apologize for the schools. Officials say the deaths were caused by sickness, accidents and abuse. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland says the schools isolated thousands of children from their families and denied them their identities as Native Americans. Former students at the schools, which operated until the 1960s, previously shared their experiences during a series of listening sessions that highlighted the harsh and often degrading treatment they endured.
