Software engineer working for NVIDIA. What I say here is me speaking for me, not my employer. Sometimes while not hacking for work or fun, I try to find fun places to go #hiking.
This isn’t the most spectacular #aurora photo of the night but it illustrates how light the landscape was from aurora light. It was odd to walk trails on a moonless night, 5 hours after sunset, with no flashlight. These auroras were not visible to the naked eye, but the sky behind me had a faint red glow.
Happy #FungusFriday to all who celebrate. I found this #fairyRing in the woods along the #IceAgeTrail this morning. Quite a surprise.
I think the Google #streetView camera was mounted on the car backwards when it went through #Belleville #Wisconsin. I was first tipped off when clicking on the forward arrow took me backwards.

Related, what’s going on in that area that there’s a steady plume of steam or smoke? I was on the #IceAgeTrail near here this morning and was put off by apparent pollution spewing from near here.
Today I found the Table Bluff segment of the Ice Age Trail, just a few minutes from home. What a wonderful trail.
I always trust google maps, particularly for telling me the speed limit.
Does the price of factory farm eggs have you down? Try buying from smaller local operations. I’m pretty sure I saw a dozen large conventional eggs for $2.99 today at Willy Street Coop in #middleton. Their website shows cage free for $4.39. In comparison, Kroger owned Pick n Save charges $5.49 for 12 conventional eggs or $4.29 for 6.
