Dear all

One for the #maker and maybe #3dprinting community: where can I get sheet metal laser cut, and optionally bent, drilled/tapped, and/or coated in Germany or Europe? Or is it still cheaper to do it from China?

I don't need a lot and I can make the 3D models without problems. I just need a reasonably priced and easy enough to work with supplier.

#retoot appreciated

Just realised there's now a text tool in the Sketcher workbook in
@freecad
1.2.0dev.
@concretedog At least you realised it was today when you could still turn up and not tomorrow.
@PhilippMemmel I remove snap whenever I do a new install. I was getting errors with Dolphin too just when looking for files.
Fixed it here with
sudo apt install libexiv2-27=0.27.6-1build1
Turns out it was the update to libexiv2-27:amd64 (0.27.6-1build1, 0.27.6-1ubuntu0.1)
Reverting to the previous version and everything loads again.

Since an update to #Kubuntu 24.04 this morning, I have been unable to load any graphic files into any application - I've tried #GIMP, #Gwenview & DigiKam. Even Dolphin has issues. The only one that has worked is Krita.
GIMP error is:
Plug-in crashed: "file-png"
(/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gimp/3.0/plug-ins/file-png/file-png)

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.
