Twitter's announcement that it would restrict access to its API (w/o any details but going into effect in less than a week) threatens to cut off thousands of vital public-interest research, reporting, and civil society projects around the world.

I'm teaching "NLP for Cultural Analytics" at UW Linguistics this quarter, and I thought I'd share my reading list for the course.
