@blogdiva exactly why self hosting is the best step out of this new age internet mess. Moving from one shitty platform to another platform that isn't shitty yet is just waiting for the same process again.
@hosebei @fribbledom Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, all of them. Crap apps that support tech companies that are building data centers and funding wars. Its like they want to fast track the end of the world. The only answer is to delete them.

It walks through LinkedIn's privacy disclosure to identify 17 companies that may receive and process the data you submit, including name, passport photo, selfie, facial geometry, NFC data chip, national ID #, DoB, email, phone number, address, IP address, device type, MAC address, language, geolocation etc. Unsurprisingly, it seems the biggest recipients are US-based AI companies.
