Former senior politician arrested in New York City

I, for one, am shocked <shocked> that the journalists at the Paper of Record who have spent the last seven years normalizing Donald Trump using the access journalism/theater/personality profile model are now doing the same thing with W on the 20 year anniversary of the Iraq war.

One way you know that 🇺🇸 power/hegemony hasn't declined in the way you've been told for years is to look at today's news. The US is backstopping the global financial system as everyone scrambles for dollars (https://twitter.com/mcopelov/status/1637798245018619905?s=20…). Xi is in 🇷🇺 visiting an indicted war criminal.

The NATIONAL CHAMPION WISCONSIN BADGERS!!!

As we are seeing on an almost daily basis now, one can simultaneously be a dangerous far right authoritarian <and> the fundamentally unserious second coming of Scott Walker in national politics. People are large. They contain multitudes.
