Is there anything like #foursquare or, let's call it, micro place reviews app based on #activitypub ?
@tvdeyen I've been using Alchemy for last couple of days to try to port my portfolio from comfy and...I have to tell I'm 100% sold. This thing is brilliant. Is there anything you could use help with? We can chat on some more private channel if you prefer that.
Thank you for all your work, it's really mind blowing what you've managed to achieve.
To all #ruby and #rubyonrails folks: I recently forked ComfrotableMexicanSofa CMS and fully moved it to #turbo and all other goodies to be able to use it for my personal portfolio website. I'm planning a lot of features and improvements (including ActivityPub support) so stay tuned for more!
I'm gonna name it Comfy CMS and you can follow it here: https://github.com/mbajur/comfy
Let me know if you have any questions or ideas!
@richiekhoo thank you for all the replies Richie! I will definitely go through all of them soon.
You listed a solid list of arguments against the atproto. On the other hand - I can't seem to see a lot of negative voices regarding Bluesky on masto (Maybe I just don't follow prople that are against), I feel like people are rather happy about it existing. Are there any non obvious positive sides to it? Or is it a pure evil and wolf in a sheep skin situation?
I'm looking for some insight on why it's NOT a good idea to build next #decentralized project on #ATproto (#BlueSky) and stick to #ActivityPub?
By quickly glancing through the ATP docs, it seems like a much more pleasant experience to work with over AP but there's probably more to it than just the technical part.
Can anyone #help me understand any atproto downsides?
Can you help us and share your favourite visually apealing fediverse profiles out there?
