Upgrading my blog to latest Bootstrap 5.3.x and I'm glad to see that they have finally introduced the usage of CSS variables https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.3/customize/css-variables/ to allow customizing colors without going through a SASS processor and they have added proper support for dark/light theme. With this new version, I can drop also the requirement of jquery and also switch from Font Awesome to Bootstrap Icons. It comes with lots of small breaking changes, but they are all worth it! 🚀
