Well shit, now I'm officially in #AppReview Hell. I resubmitted everything to the #AppStore, iOS was approved quickly, but the macOS version got another rejection after 2 days, this time stating that my-in app puchase flow „may mislead or confuse users about the subscription terms or pricing“. Of course, that flow is unchanged for over two years and never been a problem before. @rejected
App Review remains a frustrating experience. I submitted #Flyleaf version 2.6 to the #AppStore on Wednesday, assuming I could release them before #WWDC starts on Monday. The iOS version was approved 4 hours later, great! The macOS version also went into review, but has now been stuck at „In Review“ for 4 days, with no way to tell whats going on. My only options are to hope and wait or to resubmit, which both suck.
Phew, I’m finally done creating new sets of App Store screenshots and have just submitted #Flyleaf 2.4 with support for iOS and macOS 26 to App Review. 📲 See you on Monday (hopefully)!

I also just submitted the hopefully final #Flyleaf „GM“ build to #TestFlight. I'm gearing up to be there on monday with versions for both iOS and macOS.

Is the Liquid Glass stuff still rough? … yeah, a little. But I've got the weirdness mostly contained. I'm looking forward to Apple ironing the (many) remaining kinks out of the APIs and presentation over the coming months.

I feel like I've achieved the holy grail – fully automatic cross-platform app screenshots using XCUITest and some scripting! I hope I'll need lots of screenshots in the future, so the enormous effort and headache will have been worth it 😅
Experimenting with some fancier article titles in @flyleafapp ... and I think I like them #Flyleaf #iosDev #BuildInPublic

A comparison of the current @flyleafapp app icon and my refresh for iOS/macOS 26. I am generally not at all a fan of the direction Apple is taking with their icons, but I think the new version matches the overall platform design better. I also like that the color gradient now seems to “glow“ a lot more, because there’s no longer a shadow cast on it.

(I like that the text lines form a subtle “F“ shape. I also kept the other easter-egg: A “Spaceballs“ reference in the page text.)

I’m totally in favour of gender-neutral language, but this seems like a bit much even to me:

Yo, I heard there might a couple of people out there that would really love to import their #pocket archive into a cool new #readLater app. I can confirm that this feature will come to @flyleafapp in the next update very soon!

So, the popular read-later app #Omnivore @omnivore is apparently getting shut down in a pretty unceremonious way. The client apps seem to be open source, which is admirable, but there is currently no way to self-host the server component, making this only theoretically useful.
