Reading Cat & Cat Adventures: The Quest for Snacks (Book 1) with my 3.5-year-old daughter. She’s just discovered graphic novels, and it’s been so much fun sharing this with her!
Jun 7, 2026: Just finished an eBike ride. Covered 24.3 miles in 2:10:44. Avg speed 11.2 mph, max burst 22.5 mph. Avg cadence 60 rpm. Total ascent 699 ft, total descent 702 ft. Heart rate: avg 137bpm, peak 166bpm. Stamina: 99%→47%.
Took an e-bike ride along the Nor-Bath and Ironton Rail Trail, covering 24.3 miles in 2 hrs and 10 min. Along the way, I spotted some turkey vultures, but the lighting caused them to be shillolets as the sun was setting behind them. Managed to capture a great shot of a whitetail deer instead.

We sat on the porch as a family, watching the thunderstorm sweep across the valley. The LED lights wrapped around the patio rail glowed in sharp, beautiful contrast to the dark, rain-soaked storm.

After returning from a extended weekend trip, Katzu immediately sought for some attention. Though she’s not usually one for cuddles, she couldn’t resist a quick snuggle while I caught up on schoolwork on the patio.

This little guy wouldn’t stop moving while I tried to get a clear macro shot with the GR IV. Most of my attempts ended up blurry when it finally had enough of my close-ups and started attacking the camera, going as far as climbing onto it in triumph. I ended up setting it down in the nearest grassy area so it could keep hunting for food.

Thor gazes intently through the window, waiting for his parents to return. As we visit my wife’s family for the weekend, I can’t help but watch both Thor and Cookie while they spend some time together. How could anyone resist those soulful, droopy eyes?

Farmer’s Market Flowers
Visited the state farmer’s market today and experimented with the "macro" mode on my GR IV. The colors turned out vibrant, though I had to deal with my shadow blocking some sunlight. A tiny fly also managed to sneak into the shot.

"Discarded Pasture"
It's been raining for days, and someone left this old painting of a pasture behind. I digitally masked the painting and converted the red dumpster in the background to black and white. I'm pleased with how it turned out.
