I keep forgetting about the feature on YouTube that hides specific channels from your feed.

There are so many grifters on there, it’s nice to pretend they don’t exist.

A lot of criticism of Plex atm, and I think it’s justified. I wouldn’t be surprised if monthly prices went up too.

They say that ā€œrecurring subscriptions help us sustain long-term developmentā€, but what long-term development?

No Apple Watch app for Plexamp, STILL
No widgets on iOS
No Up Next compatibility with Apple TV
Plex Photos is still terrible
Plexamp on tablet and desktop still looks like a stretched out phone app

Karnivool at The Roundhouse

On Thursday last week, I saw Karnivool live for the first time. There was one point where I wonder if I’d ever get to seem them live, given the almost 13-year wait between the last two albums.

However, the wait for the new album and seeing them live was absolutely worth it. I really like the new album and have played it heavily since it came out. I got it on vinyl too, although it remains […]

Don’t Believe Everything You Think (Joseph Nguyen) Book Review

After reading 4000 Weeks, I started to realise something.

The problem wasn’t time. It was what I was doing with it.

Or more specifically… what I was thinking while I had it.

What if the issue isn’t about having enough time, but what occupies our minds when time finally becomes available?

A few weeks ago, I came across Don’t Believe Everything You Think by Joseph Nguyen. It wasn’t on […]

I swear when I ordered the Steam Controller it said delivers in 3-5 days.

They are being painfully slow at sending this out.

4000 Weeks (Oliver Burkeman) Book Review

A couple of months ago, I finished reading Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman. It was originally published in 2022 so it’s taken me a while to get round to reading it. I actually read his second book ā€˜Meditations for Mortals’ first, but I’ll save that review for another post.

I first heard of this book whilst attending a work training session. The speaker recommended reading this […]

Steam Controller ordered.

Thankfully the process was a lot easier than Steamdeck OLED on pre-order day.

I’ve just uploaded a new video reflecting on Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman.

It’s one of those books that quietly challenges a lot of assumptions about productivity and time — and it ended up completely breaking my ā€œproductivity brainā€ā€¦ in a good way.

If you’ve ever felt the pressure to optimise every moment of your life, this book offers a very different perspective.

One of the strangest pressures of modern life is the idea that every hobby should become a side hustle.

But some of the most meaningful things we do might be the ones that never need to earn money at all.

Do you think hobbies should stay hobbies, or is it natural to eventually try turning them into income?

I made a short desk video exploring this idea.
