Year-end musing: The more I make panoramas, it's often less about being a panorama.
The technique is not the reason, it's a method of expressing a field of view as naturally as possible to reduce distraction and focus on the important details. Such as in the vertorama where the method preserved parallel vertical lines. I bet that if I didn't mention that I used a pano rig to make this, you may not have guessed it. And that's one of the things I have come to appreciate deeply about the craft.
