Apple's watchOS 27 cuts off everything older than the Series 10 — Series 9, Ultra 1, and SE 2 all dropped. A watch from 2023 is obsolete.
Meanwhile iOS 27 still runs on the iPhone 11, a phone from 2019.
I get that the new Siri AI needs newer silicon, but "your two-year-old watch is too old, your six-year-old phone is fine" is a tough pitch.
Made a web app called Trident Tracker for keeping up with Mariners games. It started as a thing just for me, then I figured why not make it public. No big roadmap — I'm not really planning new features — but if you ask for something and it's not a heavy lift, I'll probably add it. Mostly it scratches my own itch as a fan.
Chrome finally added side tabs, and honestly, it's a bigger deal than people are giving it credit for. Side tabs were one of the things I genuinely loved about Arc. Glad to see it make its way into the mainstream.
Got the One UI update on my S26 Ultra today and I can now AirDrop files directly to my iPhone 17 Pro Max. No cables, no third-party apps, it just works through Quick Share. Wild that Google was able to reverse engineer this and it still works.
