Am Kieler Hauptbahnhof fährt derzeit kein Zug. Grund dafür ist eine beschädigte Oberleitung. Wann die Bahnen wieder fahren können, lässt sich momentan noch nicht sagen.

@gkrnours @ozone89 @georgetakei Well, if France still has colonies can be debated, also none of the current overseas territories is among the top 20 banana producers today. But also none of the USA. The biggest today are India, China and Uganda.

@urwumpe @ozone89 @georgetakei well, no joke. Martinique + Guadeloupe have a total surface of less than 3000km² while Uganda has more than 240,000km².
My point was, france came in long ago, confiscated the land, gave it to white people who turned super rich from owning all the lands and business and today it's the same families that owns all the plantations and supermarkets.

On top of that, despite being located in the caribbean archipelagos, it's europe so no exchanges with the neighbours

@gkrnours @ozone89 @georgetakei Thats not fully correct, they have transport and trade to their neighbours. But also a massive tax on any Imported goods. Its not that extreme anymore that for getting from USA to French Guiana, you have to fly via Paris...

@urwumpe @georgetakei I mean, more pineapples and sugar for us than bananas (which have been part of Pacific diet for centuries before Western contact), but yeah. We’re the state that seems to only exist when the whites want to go on vacation, a not-real place that only exists to be exploited in one way or another.

Also, bananas grow readily in South Florida. Not that I want to defend these jerks or anything. Just the general ignorance of the US by leaders is 🤷
