Tesla needs China. Musk needs Tesla stock to not collapse entirely. So Musk is basically owned by China, while he owns Twitter (and is heavily influencing US politics). The conflict of interest really couldn’t be more obvious.

I appreciate all of John Mastodon’s visionary efforts, don’t get me wrong. But naming the system after himself like that kind of diminishes the contributions of the many other, already less visible, volunteers who built it.

And isn’t it long past time we also acknowledge the foundational work of Julia Mammoth?

Great survey (sadly over on Twitter but I get it, still more users there): “Worst person in tech” https://twitter.com/techwontsaveus/status/1603041270074597377?s=46&t=oKTGRtH5Z2Ijw27j-4I1Cg

I really do like the term “the great reset” for the current time we are in, as a way to describe the process of re-evaluation of how things have been done during the past decade(s), on personal, organizational and societal levels. It comes with some pain, but also with lots of opportunities.
