Are you joining me for a paddle? #Dunster #Beach on Bank Holiday Monday. It's a long walk to the #sea when the #tide is out. These two car transporter ships, one anchored, use the Bristol Channel to visit Royal Portbury Docks. Wales is just visible the other side of the Channel.

Needed a long lens to capture the moment. Despite appearances, the beach area where I was sitting is very sandy.

I couple of weeks ago I visited West Dean Gardens in Sussex and was astonished by the new areas that head gardener Tom Brown had established. The first was the sand garden and the second was the concrete garden. This video is an interview with Tom explaining the thought process and techniques used. The filming gives excellent insight into the planting scheme.
