December 17th we honor the mighty Orisha Babalú Ayé.
The CD Yemayá Olodó (formerly Lotz Of Music – Blues for Yemayá) features two tracks dedicated to Babalú Ayé.
Recorded in Havana, 1997, this album brings together my quintet with an Afro-Cuban drum and vocal ensemble, featuring leading exponents of the Cuban Yoruba community. A fusion of jazz and sacred Afro-Cuban traditions.

Funny how this guitar keeps returning to me.
Juliano Abromavay got this 7-string guitar from another Brazilian musician: Daniel Marques. It turns out to be the same guitar I performed with Daniel in India, Germany, Holland and Nepal.
This guitar keeps me rumbling, sweating, and wide awake.
Looking forward to performing this Friday at the wonderful Cultural Center Opderschmelz in Luxembourg! I’ve written three brand-new songs and can’t wait to hear how they’ll come to life on stage.
