Picard management tip: For each command, assign it to one person, or ask for a volunteer. Don't ask a crowd to take an action.

Corporate editors now insist on adding AI generated "executive summaries" and "FAQ"s to blog posts, regurgitating the very document they accompany. This is purportedly for SEO (🤮), basically encouraging a "why bother reading the thing" mindset.

Still believing that actual humans are capable of actually reading a text with more than 100 words, I'm rather irritated by that.

We don't need him here, we don't want him here.

Monday vs Today
I did the thing that everyone does and chose Linux Mint.
And you know what?
My experience so far is a 9.5/10! Everything just works out of the box and everything I need is available.
Including the usual PITAs like scanning and printing, GPU drivers, audio, etc.
Really impressed how much progress Linux on the desktop has made in the past 10-or-so years!
While I've been a long-time Linux user on the server side, I used macOS on my laptop for just as many years.
During the pandemic I got back to playing games on PC (instead of console) and had to run Windows again to make that work.
While I wasn't very happy the OS I was also not really bothered by it, except for the usual small nuisances.
Now the Win 11 upgrade changed that and after many, *many* years today was the day, that I gave Linux on the Desktop another try.
