I have moved to my own Mastodon instance and so far only my followers who are also on mastodon·social have been transferred automatically. An update of other instances will probably take some time, but if you want to shorten the process: https://social.marcus.io/@marcus

In the advent of the #EAA, there are some explainers going around which have wrong info (and I don't blame the authors, we are all not lawyers and EU legislation is a beast):

- No, there is no transitional period for your websites until 2027
- No, the EAA (née Directive 2019/882) is not based on the Web Accessibility Directive (née Directive 2016/2102). The first is about a common EU market, the second one about the public sector of the EU member states.

I'm also not a lawyer, of course. But I dove into the topic years ago maybe with masochistic motivation, but mainly to understand and teach in my course (which will soon be available in English, shameless plug)

It's a shame that the Wikipedia article on the original Führer's birthday and its national celebration is not yet available in English https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%BChrergeburtstag

It's not just another administration. But nearly everyone seems to be treating what's currently happening as such.
I get the urge towards escapism in form of culture, games, shows, sports and all - especially now, but everything that's currently coming out of the US leaves a stale aftertaste in my mouth. It somehow feels like not wanting to see the reconstruction into an authoritarian system because people don't want to be "political".
