I am convinced that my neighbours' apartment is entirely wall to wall cupboards and every morning someone hides a coin in one of the cupboards. Then they spend all day opening and slamming the doors until they find it. Whoever finds it first gets to hide it for the next day. It's the only logical explanation for this acoustic hellscape I live in.
