I didn’t know what primary care really was until 3yrs of being an attending:
-I know my panel & my patients.
-I am not rewriting the book each time. I’m on the same page as my patients-more forward looking than back.
-I have generational visits w families
-I control my schedule and schedule them appropriately
-I know my med team, RN, MAs, etc
Don’t judge primary care until you’ve done it for years. It can be so so rewarding.

My 20mo was sharing bread with the chickens. I spent 20 min looking up any diseases. I think she’ll be fine 🤷🏻♀️. #MedMastodon

The weeks prior to “falling back” time change, 20 month old started sleeping in to 8. So now she’s sleeping till 7. You can hate me now.

Just a reminder that masks, hand hygiene and staying home when sick decrease transmission of all respiratory infections. It’s like magic! Only “earth magic” which is what my 10yo uses to define science.
