I don't know, having people who use the system more pay more for it seems appropriate to me.

People trying to “disrupt” industries usually know very little about them, part N+1: Most folks would call YouTube the most successful video platform, but it barely just breaks even; storage and bandwidth costs for video are just really really really high. Expecting to do that and also be generating the video and not lose one’s shirt was always incredibly unlikely.
