@sidereal@davidgerard why do we gotta make everything about money. can't we appreciate ai out of sheer love for impersonal corporate email replies? can't we recognize the unquantifiable value of generating software bugs at rapid speed? is it wrong to enjoy not knowing if a chatbot response contains any true information at all? not everything needs to make business sense!
@davidgerard I'm already on web 5. It's a LAN covering 6 computers in some guy's house, and he's serving wikipedia off of a cd-rom, along with some other reference material, using one of those multi-cd bays that libraries used in the 90s. It's much more advanced than the current web, because there's no Linkedin.
@agafnd yeah but there's also that type of guy who asks you if you like rick and morty, and when you say no, he starts explaining some of the jokes, as if the only reason someone wouldn't like the show was because a joke went over their head.
@chrpistorius@headword thank you! I'm probably most looking forward to coming up with how this feature developed over time. I always have a lot of fun with that step. Appreciate the feedback!
@headword thanks for the feedback! I've been looking at different negation strategies in natlangs, and that tracks with what I've seen so far - distinctions that correlate / are adjacent to agentivity, though nothing exactly like what im thinking. I appreciate getting another perspective though - i think i might go forward with this. Thank you!
