I would like to see Ontario/Toronto follow BC’s example and allow density as of right near transit stations.

Transit oriented development at Pape Station - link to a summary by more transit southern Ontario.
• great street approach with mid block connections and active frontages
• architecturally it’s a nice rational design. Nothing flashy, just a solid residential building.
It’s a huge improvement over the existing, but our approach to TOD as a city doesn’t go far enough👇
So the Royal Ontario Museum is going to see major changes to Libeskind's 2007 crystal addition. This time it's Hariri Pontarini Architects leading a design which will open up the entrance and lobby areas with more glass, and rejig the entrance experience.
There are lots of positive things happening here. The skylight will transform that inner lobby space, and the added transparency to the ground level will better connect the museum to the street.
Here’s one to watch in 2024: One Delisle - the first Canadian project by Chicago architects Studio Gang.
- Unique design unlike anything in the city. Rectilinear base tapers up to a circular roof.
- It will have quite the presence when looking south on Yonge Street
Currently under construction at Yonge & Delisle.

We currently use Notion as an office wiki at my architectural firm, and I use it for project management. I’m definitely interested to try this out!
Downtown #Toronto is getting a new park! Last month the winning design announced for 229 Richmond St West, currently a parking lot / temporary patio.
Designed by West 8, the park is called Wàwàtesí (means Firefly) and features indigenous #landscapearchitecture elements including natural elements, a play on directions, and the passage of time.
