Blaine is an author and the co-founder of Midcoast Publishing. He runs the Apex Authors program, which helps authors to research, write, publish, and market their books.

Blaine has helped his clients sell over 350,000 books, mostly children's books and non-fiction books.

Blaine is also an avid runner, and is trying to become more competitive again after taking most of a decade off from racing. He also directs 15 races every year and gives back to the running community through his volunteering.

Apparently Amazon (via Goodreads) considers identity theft to be no big deal. Jane Friedman found a lot of AI-generated garbage listed on her author page and had a lot of trouble getting them removed. Here's her summary of what to do about it.

@SwedishSaddler I think so. It took me a little time to wrap my head around how to use it, but once I figured out I could follow #hashtags the same as people, my feed got interesting and useful. Also switched to a third party app that's much better than the #mastodon app. (I'm using the #Tusky app on #Android.)

@vintagepix He's caught things a few times but usually won't kill them, and this is the first time he brought one inside. Hoping it doesn't become a trend.

When the cats were still indoor cats, we had a mouse problem, and he was not a good hunter. His sister could catch a mouse within a few seconds of discovering one, though.

I didn't know this about Bill despite having #run with him over the past decade and talking him into joining the #RaceDirector team for my largest #RoadRace last year.

His #branding is awesome, the envelopes he delivers his #poems in is the same color as his typewriter with a stamp to match.
