I've been an Android user for probably 17 years and recently I destroyed my OnePlus 13 in a homebrewing accident. I'm looking at what to replace it with and am pretty disheartened with the whole Android lineup out there, especially at the price point nowadays. I find myself re-evaluating all the progress that iPhone has made in the context of security and to be honest, I'm wondering if it's time I changed over.
The cost of leaving the android ecosystem feels fairly heavy, so I'm trying to keep this at an objective view only of security. If you're an iPhone security knowledgeable individual, can you please let me know your perspective on the pros and cons of the security of the device, ecosystem, and app store?
I don't side load apps, and my device is encrypted and either in my pocket, nightstand, or hand so physical attacks aren't a concern. Thank you
