CSS is DOOMed!

I've build DOOM in CSS and every wall, floor, barrel, and imp is a div, positioned in 3D space using CSS transforms.

Try it out! But... not every browser can handle it. This is taking the browser to its limit. Chrome has some issues. Safari too. Bugs will be filed.

Da das Kind ab jetzt offenbar 4-5k im Jahr für den Tanzsport verschlingt (s. vorh. Post), könnte ich gut neue Kundschaft / Projekte gebrauchen. 😅

Ich mache momentan am liebsten und besten barrierefreies Vanilla HTML & CSS (Design Tokens) ohne Build-Prozesse mit Kirby.

Und am allerliebsten arbeite ich für linksgrünversiffte Projekte oder zumindest sinnstiftenden Kram.

Also wenn jemand jemanden kennt, der Unterstützung braucht, lasst es mich gerne wissen. 🙂

Google Chrome 145 Released With JPEG-XL Image Support

Back in 2022 Google deprecated and then removed JPEG-XL image support from the Chrome/Chromium browser codebase and now in 2026 it's back. Last month I wrote about JPEG-XL decoding merged back to Chromium/Chrome and that has rolled out today as part of today's Chrome 145 stable debut...
