Rewatching Crazy, Stupid Love, and it's funny how, 15 years ago, New Balance and all those other chunky, Dad shoes were considered ugly. These days, everyone seems to be wearing them.

Sartorial comfort wins!

Déjà vu: I'm editing something, and I reached a section where I felt like I've edited it before, so I go to Mastodon to post about it. Even this act of posting on Mastodon about this strange moment seemed to have already happened.
Watching K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie (Netflix). I just learned that McDonald's also pulled out their Filet-O-Fish sandwich in S. Korea, but it's still available in Japan. 😱

Clocked out early from work (from home), ran an errand, clocked in 12k steps covering ~9km, ate tahô and "dirty" ice cream, watched the latest ep of The Pitt after a warm shower, snuck in an hour of work.

Friday, you were awesome! ✨

Preparing an extensive outline for an article about Singapore. Two realizations:

1. The slant I pitched is challenging, hahaha! I didn't realize this until last night, but challenge accepted!
2. I miss Singapore, specifically: the satay from Stall 7 in Lau Pa Sat, the nasi lemak from Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang at SMU, and Kinokuniya in Takashimaya.

This evening's dinner was prepared with minimal effort: fried rice with chopped up seafood balls and one piece each of dumplings (I have no idea why I didn't cook those two remaining pieces with the rest 😂).

After four hours of deep focus doing research, I am now ready to call it a day. Whew!

One thousand years of 😳

From an early ninth-century manuscript (Basel, Universitätsbiblitohek, N I 1:3c, fol. 2r).

Spending the entire afternoon doing research for this travel story I pitched and got approved. Yay!

In other news: My team hasn't heard anything from the client of the book project we've been working on since December. Last time we heard from them was about two weeks ago. Semana Santa na, hahaha huhuhu!
