Last night I finished the language rules & root words/combos for my Aerylian ancient language in #theRiveHunter world, being the primeval kind. For example: Enerthya, the name of the continent, comes from the Aeryl name 'En'Arthyl', meaning Our World.

Now working on some studies of #glyphs and #magic #symbols.

Wow, as soon as I switched to writing each POV as one continuous storyline arc, without switching between chapters and multiple arcs, has greatly improved my writing flow! The difference is truly encouraging. #WritersOfMastodon #WritingCommunity #AmWriting
@Emmacox it is, but also very rewarding when learning and improving in a second language. Today was even complimented by a friend who read the first paragraph of my first chapter and was blown away in the approach of my prose, as most in our culture (Greek-Cypriot speaking) don't read books in English, so I felt very proud 😊. I get it that sometimes non-English speakers could even spot mistakes from native speakers, I noticed that at my writing group in the past.
@Sazzle apparently this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_number —dont know how to explain it :)

#WordWeavers: Do you purposely use symbolism in your stories?

I do, when possible, but only what I consider symbolism. One tiny example is that on my timeline I have bad events that are on dates with "evil" numbers. I love such small details that are done on purpose.

@Emmacox its not my native language so it feels weird, but I totally get how helpful this could be!
Reached 21k words in my novel, and I'm thrilled because everything is flowing incredibly smoothly! Maintaining a daily word count of at least 1k, feeling truly on a roll.
My novel and novellas are far from close to being ready, but that doesn't stop me from working on a cover art! #theRiveHunter
@mike451 thank you so much!
