@Julie It is called "peer reviews". The company I work for puts great stock in what other people in the company say when evaluating performance.
I am on a Performance Improvement Plan at work. I am a top notch engineer, but my soft skills are a sea urchin. So I have been assigned training in "Active Listening". I am supposed to take notes during a series of design meetings to show that I am listening to others' ideas. Those same others are going to be asked about my demeanor.
I really hate that my job security is based on people's opinions of my personality instead of on my software engineering.
@jsdutky I feel like the Hugos have become a testing ground for disinformation campaigns. The Sad Puppies relationship with Gamergate was an earlier forray into gaming the vote.

They played the “Stained” album front to back (this year is its 30th anniversary) plus a few extras…”This is the Life” was critically important to getting me through a particularly bad night back in the day, so hearing that live and loud was a treat. Weepy, but a treat! #MusicIsPowerfulMedicine
Jealous. I saw them live in the early 90s. There were awesome.
Although I still sometimes get shoulder pangs from when Cotey Glover stagedived and I was in the wrong place.
