Today I learned that my conspiracy theorist cousin who moved to the States years ago has gone full MAGA. He's always been beyond dumb, so I'm not at all surprised. Apparently he's now posting lectures to Canada, his home country, regurgitating all the 51st state talking points. He's in the music industry and well known enough that he has a fairly large platform for his drivel. I'm thoroughly embarrassed to be related to him.

"Uprooted", by @naominovik, has the feel of a Ghibli story. The main characters, a wizard and the girl who goes to live with him, remind me of Howl and Sophie from "Howl's Moving Castle".

It's cold, dark, and rainy and does not feel like the first day of summer.
Juneteenth is the perfect moment to remind everyone of these two facts:
1. Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
2. Those who prevent history from being taught are plotting to repeat it.

"Piece by Piece" was a fun documentary to watch—it's like a hybrid of a music biopic and a LEGO movie. I was previously unaware of the extent of Pharrell Williams' musical career.
