The spam, the ewaste treadmill, the price, the invasion of privacy are all the cherry on top.. But I mean, there are only so many ways Microsoft can telegraph "we are trying to bring unix/posix-isms to Windows" before the message is obvious.
Cut out the middleman. Newcomers should check out @fedora - or by all means, try out whatever distro appeals to you most!
I see another #AI #LLM trend on the horizon, and it's not a good one...
As the management class struggles for relevance, their laziness and lower technical & emotional savvy may drive them to trust AI too implicitly.
The net result is going to be leadership that allow AI to project - potentially fallible - objectives through them, down to subordinates.
This is going to generate a lot of heat in the workplace.
