Is it just me or does the official mastodon app for iOS seems a bit cack?

It’s feels buggy & slow for the most part

I should just shift to something a bit more stable. Maybe it’s my iOS version as I’m not fussed about new phones etc

Chappell Roan - The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess

This just felt correct for the day Chappell Roan

From hearing it when it first came out & we got it in shop, to now. It’s got this ear worm quality too it that you can’t shake & you can’t help but shake your hips.
Danceable, catchy & timeless in not only its sound but it’s subject matter & lyricism.
Well deserved of it’s album of the year when we had our vote for it

On listening to it again I was reminded of a somewhat one sided affair I was involved in.
Aye an affair, a hypocritical one on their part, in which I found out & with myself not wanting to be another number to their own goals.
So this album hit in ways in a living sense, a relationship sense & closeness sense. I felt there was enough material that was directed at me, choosing early on to not be taken as a fool.
Fuck that! Even if some pleasantries appear every so often, they’re still foolish errands in the end

Got a new community meet up a friend & I are planning that goes side by side with our main event we put on

This is going to be an in person thing where people in the live electronics sphere get to meet as well as be part of our event to help shape it

Ive built the main website & will be launching it soon. Just waiting on artists to get back with info so I can get it on. If they’re late that’s fine. I’ll put the artist stuff on later.
But for future I’ll get info from them before they play

Ever since the event I & a friend put on. Ive been dipping into Pure Data. As Gold Panda used it for his set to control MPC stuff & we talked geek for a while

Now. Ive been a user of Max since version 4, even was part of the beta team to make sure things worked & discuss future things. But Pd [mainly for its embedding] has interested me for a long time

But I found a modern version of Pd by accident called Plug Data that really is quite nice & makes using Pd much nicer

Just got back from Autechre in Project House. Fantastic. An experience.
Didn’t stop dancing all night

Supports were also awesome & will be sure to give them a proper check. Especially if I can find some releases in the shop

I felt I was listening when they were changing parts in the patch to go into the next track with there type of hot swapping. I guess from being a user since v4 it’s stuck with me on so many levels.
The sound was phenomenal!

Also had to pick up a T-shirt!

It’s a pairing of 80’s movie synths & this reminder of what the area was trying to achieve way back when. Instilling this part in history, all wrapped up in electronic goodness.
Returning with a continuation of costly development & lofty plans that will see the people living amongst it

Every time I hear a Warrington-Runcorn album I start thinking what was used in the process. What hardware, software, recording techniques?
I wish I got to run into Gordon to chat music & tech, since I lived around that area. Maybe in the future

A lovely blippy bloppy time from 1996, fitting so well into the IDM flow of the mid/late nineties.
From glitchy beats, to more hip hop sounding, to plonky synths that pair so well in this aura of chilled goodness

The album is somewhat hard to find, so when I found this very randomly quite a few years ago, I had to have it & glad it’s part of my listening days & my collection.
It’s that hard to find the album isn’t even available in digital from what I couldn’t find.
But that also makes it all the more special in owning a physical copy
