I think I want to put myself up for adoption….. adulting is so hard without parents to turn to for advice. I mean I’ve raised my kids, I’m there for them, now I need some of that love. Unconditional without expectations. We all need that love #JokingNotJoking

My Ad would read:
Must be wise, patient, kind and able to listen. Advice would be required although, optional. Happy to do daughterly duties. Retired lecturers and scientists are especially sort after. Must enjoy reading, and chess.

a loosely comedic coping mechanism, thanks for reading

–someone who is always a little sad around family focused holidays

I hear your actions, but still, they hurt
your words are empty, the hate overt
others with love are there,
chosen family to spare
our bridge burned, no more progress, inert.
narcissus wouldn't make a good mom,
mine was a storm, never the calm
didn't know how to nurture,
wasn't a great learner,
apologies don't work as a balm.

ok that was not the strongest, maybe a limerick. I couldn't choose between these two endings

This all makes me feel so reductive,
feeling mad cannot be productive.
I’m shaking with rage,
just want to disengage.
I'd much rather be destructive.

I’m shaking with rage,
just want to disengage.
I guess I'll just go be productive.

here have a haiku:

I am so angry
My family sucks a lot
That is how I feel

hello I'm having a bad day, so I am sending my therapist haikus and limericks, is this a cry for help?

What you can expect from me, if you're deciding whether to follow (or keep following):

I'm #writing a traditionally published #Tarot book, but my relationship to Tarot is most similar to how a film critic relates to film. I don't sell readings or do card-of-the-day type posts. I publish a zine yearly in Sept that features #BIPOC, #queer, #disabled contributors & is pay-what-you-want (details on my web site).

I tend to post roughly 70% #SocialJustice, 20% Tarot/ #astrology, 10% random/personal.

Hey all, with the continued influx of Twitter people, I'm once again seeing a drop in the number of people who add alt text/image descriptions to what they post, denying access to many disabled users here.

Exactly how you do this varies by Mastodon client app, but it is usually just below the image once you upload & before posting.

Even a short-but-useful description is better than nothing—focus on what you're trying to get others to get from the image rather than describing every detail.
