And some cheap PJs from #woolworths.
😱
And what's a "jeresy"? A junior heresy? Pyjamas to be burned at the stake in?

Instead of just thinking "I should record those bellbirds next time I ride here", I actually recorded them today.
I remember having to be vewy, vewy qwiet to listen for bellbirds when I was a kid. I wonder if these have evolved to be much louder to compete with the 4 lanes of traffic nearby?
Refilling my water bottle, halfway around the lake, a kids' playground has been refurbished, with lots of skull imagery.
The 2nd half of the ride will be spent pondering:
- does associating human skulls with play and fun at a young age lead to serial killers who keep grisly trophies?
- did someone get paid a huge amount to test and prove that showing young kids skull symbols does NOT affect them?
- will there be a spike in kids from here wanting to become forensic anthropologists, or pirates?
Well grumblemutter and assorted unspoken profanities; 😡😤
Another bindii flat! 2 days running!
Finding the teensy nano-punctures is a black art in itself! You need to submerge the tube… and wait…
You can't just wipe on soapy water - the TPU tubes just shed liquid instantly.
You can't pump #TPU tubes up to more than 0.003 of birthday balloon pressure outside of a mounted tyre, or they distort permanently, so no healthy stream of bubbles to make it easy to spot the leak.
Tom Stanton discovers why Stirling engines aren't more popular on bicycles.
I added an extra side quest around Budgewoi on today's ride, and a loop over the footbridge and around Dunkey Island.
Minor #bicycle improvement, which I and/or my LBS will appreciate in the future.
Upgraded from the ugly, disposable split-pin to retain the disc brake pads, to a bolt with a finger-removable clip and a screwdriver slot in the head.
It only takes a couple of minutes to tap one of the existing bolt holes, and you can still use a split pin if needed.
Today I suddenly realised what's probably bleedingly obvious to everyone else in the world who rides a bicycle:
if you're sick of feeling your way around the tyre, trying to find where the recommended pressure markings are hiding, mount the tyre with the pressure markings right above the valve ! 🤦♂️
After a slow leak (pump, ride a bit, pump, ride) all the way home, I pulled the tyre and tube.
I couldn't see anything in the tyre, so I decided to potentially sacrifice some fingertips - rub them inside the tyre to try to identify anything dangerously sharp.
It took a couple of circuits, but I found it:
a bindii / bindi-eye! Just one. Through a near new tyre!
No wonder we Aussies hate these things with a passion, and learn at all early age not to detect them with bare feet!
