I feel like the only way out of the current environmental crisis is to use less energy. Instead everyone is fixated on how to use _at least_ as much as energy, and probably way more, by stacking nuclear and renewables on top of fossil fuels. Yes solar panels and wind turbines are good; also do we need all that energy to power luxuries like the advertising industry and LLMs?
