Apropos of nothing, I’d like to take a moment of your time and share this framed visualization I have in my office.

I like it, because it’s an absolute triumph in chart design, and it reminds me that screenshots of gray-backgrounded Excel scatter plots just ain’t it. It tells me to aim higher.

These days, however, it has a more literal connection with current events: a wannabe emperor foolishly sending his armies into the cold against a people born of the cold.
