The heated water bowl had a crust of ice on it, that is how cold it is. Food freezes fast. I freeze fast. I opened the downstairs door without a glove as test. So cold it burned my finger.

I've seen proof of life for some of the people I care about who are out in this. I've offered what help I can. It is never enough, not really, but I make it okay in my mind.

Weather humbles me.

What if we are moving away from the "Move Fast and Break Things" mindset? YAY!

I think we broke too many things for too long too fast.
Our recovery is gonna take a whole lot of care, effort and intention. Gonna take focus on interconnection & helping vulnerable people thrive.

Are so many people incapable of this most basic human and humanizing action - being present while delivering painful news? I suppose I know the answer to that.
Shoutout to the scones at @[email protected] that just knocked my socks off. Ice cream is only one of the delicious treats they offer. GET YOU SOME!

So Josh Hawley is a cheater for sure and possibly a traitorous one. Cool, cool.

Can we finally have some consequences for these people?
