I'm currently working on an article about MVC patterns using the DOM as template engine, CustomEvents as controllers and history API as a router. My example is a simple calendar, but a second example could easily be a frontend for #mastodon
@Gargron you even thought of CORS headers! It'll be really simple to make different frontends for that!
@zatnosk I'm not leaving yet. Actually, what I'm missing most apart from people is an open API, which is the hallmark of a good social network: the possibility to integrate it elsewhere.

> @Gargron: "You can't expect to get followers or people talking to you just out of the blue."

But you just talked to me out of the blue... not that I expected it, so you might have a point.

This social network #mastodon doesn't seem to get off the ground. There are technical shortcomings, but I guess what makes most of the difference is the missing userbase.
I believe #JS #MVC libraries are abused for multi-page sites because the controller abstraction is so elegant.
@ppk thank you!
@ppk screen.w/h is the ideal in nearly all mobile browsers" - is Edge on mobile the only exception or are there others?
Let's see if this network can actually supersede Twitter. It doesn't work in native Android browser on a Samsung S6 for a start.
