But then I realised – it's the *nightside* of Earth, illuminated by the almost full Moon, not the Sun 🌕
The bright limb at lower-right is where the dayside starts, & the fact that you can see aurorae, airglow, & cities in Europe, Africa, & S & N America also gives the game away.

Electric vehicles are already cutting 2.3 million barrels of oil demand per day. That's about to double under a business-as-usual scenario this decade. It could go faster if EV sales rise, which there are indications they will at this oil price.

No wonder Italy wants to tackle high power prices!
