Share or tell us about a fun scene you recently wrote.
Scene 2 of a short comedy play I'm writing, about a phobia support group. The first scene came so easily I was stuck for ages on the second. It's going to need tightened up a lot, but it's there now, and my writers group have their hands on it. I might even get it finished.

I use series bibles, either a spreadsheet or just a text file.
I have recently started to use Obsidian and am transferring info there. It's rather awesome, very intuitive and easy to use.

I wrote a scene in which Lucy is teaching an after school booster club while simultaneously cleaning up after her afternoon art lesson, and her boss walks in wanting 'a word' which naturally fills her with dread. I was pleased with how I managed to convey that feeling of having to do so many things at once while mentally listing all the things still to do. And she managed to disregard the boss pretty well - for now.

welp...i'm trying very hard rn to write a fun scene and i'm very much not succeeding. it's like "CSI" w/ rom-com banter, and i know it will be great once it's done, but i don't seem to be able to get there. advice welcome!
#PennedPossibilities 972 — Do you receive hate?
So far, I haven't. I think I'm not visible enough as a writer for that, and chances are I never will be. The only thing I did receive hate for had nothing to do with writing and everything with being a woman-shaped person that has the audacity to speak.
And even though I don't want hate, I do feel satisfaction when the right people hate me for the right reasons. Like, a bigot hates me for my views? Great, hate me more!

Sorry, sobald ich "Denkmal" lese, fängt der Song von Wir Sind Helden in meinem Kopf an.
Bin auch eher nicht so ein Fan von Denkmälern...wenn, dann für mehrere Personen, weil es ja meistens nicht bloß ein Individuum ist, das ganz allein Historisches leistet.

#WordWeavers 2/23 What word/phrase do you use too much? Has it changed over time?
Don't know if there's a spec. word/phrase. I've a tendency to overuse adverbs/adjectives, and I devise f.e. descriptions for characters that I stick to, but that's often bc it plants something for a later payoff.
I st think my syntax is repetitive. EN is my 2nd language, and I've been told in the past my syntax is too German, so I stick to sentences of which I know for sure are correct and avoid experiments.
