GAWD Apple UNintelligence. Would you please get the hint that I report every single instance the recent tidal wave of ā€œKerishaā€ SMS spam? Stop categorizing it as ā€œPromotion.ā€
@tbridge Thanks for an excellent summary. I was wondering if I should swap my wife's old MBAir with one of these, but she does just enough retouching in Photoshop, in spite of some people thinking it should be fine, I'm simply lacking the confidence that 8GB is wholly inadequate for any kind of Photoshop work.

820 pounds of leaves blown from my lawn and hauled to the landfill—amazingly only cost me $17.07 to dump, an amount I probably would’ve spent in heavy duty bags if I’d left it for city pickup—much easier just throwing it all into a trailer!

@mcelhearn I’m gonna hit the podcast when I can, but as a shortcut answer, do you have a strong feeling whether the 8GB Neo is adequate for my wife who shoots full res JPG (not RAW) with a Canon 70D and performs quite a bit of Photoshop touchup on dozens (sometimes 100/200+) for each event she shoots? Feels inadequate RAM, but maybe the latest Silicon chips negate it.
@gedeonm I would really like to upgrade my wife’s laptop. (My M4 mini is just fine at home for me.) But she works on photos a LOT with Photoshop and I feel like the paltry RAM might be a nuisance.

So I’m at last prepared to just stop looking at all. I don’t want to delete my account coz I’d really prefer my profile name not fall to someone else’s abuse. I already changed the account to protected. REALLY wish I could find a trustworthy means, even for a fee, to erase all the past content and maybe even a mass instance of the block/unblock procedure to force unfollows.

Today, only 5 accounts still post content that populates the notis. Three are just mirrors of content I already see here.

A fourth is a long time friend whose posts these days are largely outside my interests, and the other I always believed was a good, well-meaning person until all the slop lately reflecting their heavy anti-trans stance.

When it was still the bird site, I followed roughly 450 accounts. I had isolated just shy of 100 to place those posts as in-app notifications—accounts I was most interested in. Of those, only a dozen or two actively tweeted.

December 2023 I essentially gave up on X. A couple posts made after that were only telling people I was on Mastodon now.

Some who prefer to follow the day/month formatting for dates are trying to say that Pi day (3.14) is not today, but rather the 31st of April.

Nope. That’s only Schrƶdinger’s Pi day. It both exists and doesn’t exist.
