A friend shared this elsenet on Valentine's Day a couple of years ago, but I thought today was an appropriate time to reshare, along with the ones I wrote.

Roses are red
False scarcity is dumb
People should have
A basic income

Roses are red
Let's avoid desperation
By sharing what's needed

We went to see 'The Magic Faraway Tree' film today. The BBFC card at the start literally says 'very mild threat' so, predictably, it was 'too scary' for one of our party! I thought it was nice though, good job of adapting the books, and I liked Silky the fairy (who apparently is played by someone from Bridgerton wtf).

Slightly ironic that it has an anti-screen-time moral since I expect kids will soon be watching this on tablets during meals, headphones on, ignoring their family... :)

Nice: a Soul II Soul cryptic crossword clue, in yesterday's Guardian Quiptic.
