Ahhh it’s been a while! 🫨

I’m grateful to announce that I’ll be attending The OpEd Project's "Write To Change The World” workshop, next month as a scholarship recipient.

Attending will help improve the quality of my blogs and strengthen the impact of my work. Knowledge is power, folks. Let’s learn together!🌍

It finally happened! Moxie, a long-watched birdie, decided to perch on my arm and feed directly from my hands. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ•ŠοΈ

I think I am officially known in my neighborhood as the crazy bird whisperer. Much more bird content coming! 😏 Follow here, if you want to stay updated!

I saw a sharp-shinned hawk in New Mexico nail a Woodhouse's scrub jay. The hawk held the jay on the ground for a few seconds while it thrashed its last. Then it rested while cloaking its prey with its wings outstretched. Then it carried the jay away for breakfast. I wish I'd gotten a better flight photo, but it does show the gist of the moment. #birds #birding #hawk #NaturePhotography #NewMexico #NatureRedInToothAndClaw

As 2025 comes to an end, I am reflecting on my research experiences over the years. Some of the most profound research I have done was working with the bell hooks digital archive. Over 200 artifacts from the late, globally recognized feminist writer/human, bell hooks. There, I uncovered CDs, unreleased manuscripts, and letter correspondence spanning decades. I will never forget it!

The project is ongoing and expanded here
