More people, more conversations, I think.
Someone recently told me they knew someone that was a "Complainer by Nature" and all I could think about for the rest of the day was Naughty by Nature, but with Karens.
I can't find anything about the absolute crazy shootout I heard last night. The only thing I saw was a police call to gilpin, otherwise silence. 10/3 around 1am. Does that mean it was just fireworks? πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
To the person I ran into at 3am:
Yep, this is what having a toddler is like. Sometimes you find yourself having a stern conversation with a 3 year old in the middle of the damned night when you remember you forgot your shoes, are only wearing a bathrobe, have on a bright orange mask, and sound like a mutant demon toad.

twin mom showing up to the 3rd birthday party: missed cake and gifts, but look like movie stars.
Twin dad, same party: early with half-drunk coffee, skewed sunglasses, taking the chance of being mistaken for vagrants instead of party-goers.

Twin toddlers don’t allow anything in between.

I like the sentiment of this punk perspective of social on the web, but I don't agree with the nostalgia take. It's going to take something new and exciting for people to keep coming back. Hard to beat the rush of doomscrolling. https://www.theverge.com/2023/7/22/23803538/google-facebook-myspace-internet-culture-web-dot-com-crash
What would the internet of people look like now?

The web as we know it now is an intermediated experience β€” with algorithms between the humans. What if we went back to just talking to each other?
