Rotterdam's best kept secret (ha!) is the Left of the Dial festival. Three days of that stubborn breed: bands on a mission. This is the chance of a break-through for many. Very much enjoyed listening to EBBB, Van Houten, Cloud Café, Famous, Slate and many others. Friend told me that Findom was excellent too (sadly, I missed them). Some bands will never leave the bedroom, some others (Van Houten! Famous! Cloud Café!) are ready for showtime.
Really not that keen on getting ads in my ProtonVPN app. One of the many reasons why I'm glad to pay Proton is because I want an internet without ads (as much as possible, that is).
To be clear, Proton is excellent. Just get rid of the ads, thanks :)
You know the gig is great if even the folks in the merchant booth start headbanging. Rivers Ablaze + Sear Bliss touring for the new 'Heavenly Down' album in Barendrecht last night. It was really wonderful, so very tight.
As an aside, I can't believe that it has been thirty years since 'Phantoms' came out. Metal keeps us young, as András said last night.
