Having read @gruber’s posts related to this one, I was left stuck wondering why I felt something was wrong. So I tried putting words to digital paper:

We Should Be Asking Why | R H

Recently I saw John Gruber share two posts in regards to AI art as of late. The first is about a comic I had read...

Another month, another tab dump

Seeing how long it takes to build up a backlog of tabs to dummy this may not be weekly or monthly. It’ll happen though! 1....

Non-committal start to bringing back tab dumps. I come across a lot interesting topics and articles, and I should really be saving these more easily for myself and others

A long time ago, over a decade ago, there existed a site that would share “tab dumps”. It was a list of articles or web...

There's a lot of nuance as to why. I've been debating writing up a blog post on "AT vs ActPub" but that'll require a day I have the time to flesh those thoughts out for paper. Thanks to Reeder, I can use both at the same time but bsky is where I'm more inclined to post things.
I've been focusing more of my time over at bsky since that's where more artists have solidified their presence since this past Autumn. I also just find it a much comfier experience than I've had on the Fediverse.
I wish it was as easy to find other users here (right now) as it is to find hundreds of artists at a time on bsky. So it goes.
Slimming down my follower count by a lot today. Dormant accounts, and artists/friends that update bsky more often or moved there months ago.

When Apple announced Image Playground and Image Wand, I knew what I had to do for my review:

Showcase someone's real art instead of some generative slop.

I'm so happy I got to work with Scout Wilkinson on this massive project. She's ridiculously talented. She gave the entire review a whole new identity. She created, iterated, and refined in a way that only humans can. She cared.

Now more than ever, you should consider working with a real, freelance artist like Scout:
