I am not a Communist. I may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a Communist... but I am NOT a porn star.

An early Indigenous site may not be early, but it doesn't really matter
Stop trying to make "Clovis First" happen; it's not going to happen.

Thanks to the AD&D DM’s Guide, I know that 16 gnomes can work at once on a ten foot wide tunnel through hard rock and can excavate 480 cubic feet in an 8 hour shift.

I won’t count how many times this has come up in my games.

Hey Fedi,

How are you doing today?

Everything okay? Do you need a hug?

I bet you could use a hug.

For those looking forward to asteroid 2024 YR4 crashing into the moon on Dec. 22 2032, the NASA JWST brings disappointing news. Recent observations predict 2024 YR4 missing the moon altogether at a safe distance of 21,200 km, on the far side of the moon.

Previous analyses had estimated a 4.3% chance of lunar impact. Now it is almost zero.

Today I learned that nearly every modern car has four tire pressure sensors that broadcast a unique ID in clear text, so a basic Raspberry Pi scanner can track when your car is nearby.

Your car’s tire sensors could be used to track you - IMDEA Networks

Researchers at IMDEA Networks Institute, together with European partners, have found that tire pressure sensors in modern cars can unintentionally expose drivers to tracking. Over a ten-week study, they collected signals from more than 20,000 vehicles, revealing a hidden privacy risk and highlighting the need for stronger security measures in future vehicle sensor systems. Gavin Newsom supporters are going to be so confused when the presidential debates begin and they finally learn that Gavin Newsom and Gavin Newsom's witty social media manager who regularly SLAMS Trump are not the same person.

Not sure where #Google asked for feedback about their developer verification program, but they surely didn't talk with #FLOSS devs, civil society, privacy organisations or their #Android users

#FDroid did since September, and interacted with folks in the Fediverse, forum, email and in person

They all voiced one opinion: "developer verification must be stopped"

@marcprux has written an open letter, signed by likeminded organisations who want to #keepandroidopen

How far back in time can you understand English?

It’s a thousand years of the English language, compressed into a single blog post.

"... as his post goes on, his language gets older. A hundred years older with each jump. The spelling changes. The grammar changes. Words you know are replaced by unfamiliar words, and his attitude gets older too, as the blogger’s voice is replaced by that of a Georgian diarist, an Elizabethan pamphleteer, a medieval chronicler."
