#Christian. #Dad (#IVFDad!). #Musician (#Guitar). #Boardgames Designer (#18XX, #CubeRails). Software engineer, not a code monkey. Former lawyer. Occasional #artist (#charcoal, #pencil, #acrylic).
My first attempt at a lino cut went way better than expected. Not perfect, but I'm quite pleased.

Frances Watts 'Rat in a stripy sock' might have one of the best opening lines in #literature

Here's the unnecessary detail that I love they did: The Zelda cart interior (pictured) has a "battery", but the Mario Land (forgot to photograph) does not
Like, look at this! All the functional bits!
I've never made a 1:1 scale #Lego thing before, but the Lego #Gameboy is incredible. When I almost finished early yesterday morning, for a split second, my brain thought that it was real (with the Nintendo screen in).
Like, even the buttons push back with some rubber band behind them.

Some people write picture books on paper. Some write them in word.

But I've got a software engineers skill set at quickly manipulating text and version controlling it.

Why wouldn't I use #neovim and a weird in progress plug in that gives me syllable count and stresses?

I'm not much for men's #fashion but uh...

Is #temu trying to dress me like a British officer in WW1?

So, drafting.

This feels like the kinda skill that feels useful to learn, but also that I have 0 reason to actually know how to do other than occasionally vaguely try to draw spaceships

But hey, I've never experimented with a skill without it slowly growing me in other unexpected areas.

... probably not going to get really good at this unless the software market completely dies though. Then maybe, we'd see.
